DeepMIA Lab's research interests include computer vision, machine learning, robotics, and medical image analysis. In particular, We are interested in developing multimodal fusion algorithms to combine information from multiple imaging modalities, family and patient histories to make more accurate diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic determinations. We are also intrigued by simultaneous localization and mapping techniques for medical capsule robots.

I received my bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering and have worked on autonomous vehicles and systems. My current effort is on wireless swallowable endoscopy capsules. I am working on hardware and embedded systems of capsule prototypes for biopsy and drug delivery operations.  I develop systems to determine the location and orientation of the capsules within the organ.

My area of interest is to make gastrointestinal swallowable capsule robots more effective by developing localization and control algorithms based on artificial intelligence techniques. The design of these algorithms will first be developed using reinforcement learning within the gastrointestinal organs created in virtual environment, and then trying to adapt it into the real organs. I am also testing the vulnerability of deep learning models that segment and classify digital pathology images by organizing adversarial attacks.

My research focuses on machine learning and medical image analysis. Currently, I am particularly interested in deep learning-based diagnostic tools. The goals of the research are to improve the work performance of pathology laboratories, identify new morphological features, and provide accurate, standardized, automated diagnoses to support clinicians.

Graduated from biomedical engineering now i am continuening my higher education at Boğaziçi university. Currently i am focusing my research in digital pathology. I am working on tumor detection and subclassification for stomach cancer and prediction of response to immunotherapy using whole slide images. I am also interested in safe driving algorithms for autonomous vehicles. Since my medical training ended in 2021, I have focused my time on artificial intelligence applications on healthcare. Currently, I am a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at Boğaziçi University and conduct research in DeepMIA Lab to bring the utmost technological solutions to the complex clinical problems. My research interest is primarily on computer vision, more specifically prediction and classification of clinically significant outcomes from radiological and histopathological images. My goal is to increase my knowledge in this fascinating field of technology while creating tools that can be beneficial in the clinical setting.

My research interests are primarily focused on exploring the potential of machine learning and computer vision within computational pathology diagnosis.
